    Hello everyone,

I am having problems trying to add some footers to posts in wordpress blog… I am using the gluedideas subtle theme, and I don’t know how to add scripts or text to become footer of posts…

Currently I want to add the amazon contexual ad that should be placed after the post…
No matter what I do, it just doesn’t show up… I tried to edit theme and place it in “single post” section… no use… even tried to add it to a post directly just for testing, but nothing shows up… does it usually require time to show up, or is it something related to my theme?

    Any help plz?

You can’t edit themes or have ads at WordPress.com. If you want to do either of those things, you need to find an independent host and install WordPress software yourself. If you put advertising on your WP.com blog, it will be deleted without notice, as that is a violation of the terms of service you agreed to when you signed up.

I’m not familiar with the gluedideas subtle theme. If you’re talking about self-hosted WordPress, you need to read the thread at the top of the forums called Read Me First.

    Then go read that thread.

I did read it…. so? Are you insinuating that members who host their own blogs should not ask here? It isn’t mentioned anywhere

“WordPress.org provides downloadable blog software, community mailing lists, community support forums“

if you hovered over the link it would’ve shown you a different url for its forum…

also your username links to a wp.com blog, which suggests that you’re using the wordpress-hosted blog rather than a self-hosted blog…

If you can read that thread and not realize that you need to be asking at WordPress.org instead of here at WordPress.com, I’m afraid we’ve reached the end of my ability to help you.

Haven’t we already had this very conversation at least once?
