Problems adding second blog

  Hi

  I have a well-established blog and am now trying to add a second, unrelated one from the same account. I go to the sign-up page when I am logged in, and go through the various steps (address, name, language etc) and press “create blog” and then … zippo. It just takes me back to the same sign-up page again. Help! Any advice on what I am doing wrong? Thanks.

  In your gray admin bar (at the top of the page when you’re logged in & at a wordpress.com site), do you see “My Blog” or “My Blogs”? If you’ve been successful at creating a new blog, you should see “My Blogs” and in the drop-down, you should be able to see both blogs.

  I have a couple blogs with the same account, but I can’t remember what happened when I created the second one, so I don’t know whether that behavior is normal or not.

  From your dashboard, in the same section as “Home,” “Blog Surfer,” etc., you should also see “My Blogs” and if you successfully created a second blog, you should be able to manage it from there.

  Thanks. I’ve checked and I’m still just seeing “my blog” on the dashboard…

  In the same admin bar, when you point at “My Blog”, the drop down choices include “Register a New Blog”. You can set your new blog there.

  Thanks. I’ve tried again and again and finally succeeded!
  It turns out that my request was being rejected because I was putting in http:// at the start of the proposed new blog address – but the error message was not obvious (to me anyway).
