Problems after backing off an upgrade

Our original purpose in using wordpress was to manage podcasts and also post newsletters. This was working just fine.
We decided to expand our use and use it to host our website. So, we upgraded our account so that we could install a special theme. Turned out that we couldn’t do that, so we cancelled the upgrade. Now we don’t have the extra space we had purchased and I no longer can upload mp3 files. I need this fixed.

If this hasn’t been resolved, add “modlook” to the tags section of this forum thread to let a staff member know you need assistance.

Thanks. There is no way that would have occurred to me as a way to attract the attention of tech support. The “contact us” links all lead to the dead end of posting forum. No one had contacted me and there is no information as to why things happened the way they did.

However, I also didn’t see any sign of the plan we had been, which was $20/yr for extra space and the ability to upload mp3’s. The upgrade had given us a $20 discount, so I suppose that is when we lost it. In order to regain the ability to upload our podcasts, I was forced to restore the unwanted upgrade for $99. This would be bad enough, but in addition to losing our previous plan this new upgrade expires in 11 months instead of a year. If I’m still deeply annoyed by then, I’ll find somewhere else to host the files. Not happy about the lack of tech support, but it was good to hear from somebody.
