Problems changing the URL

So, long story short: I started a site in February originally called “filmfervormag.com”, but my organization recently had to change our name to “Filmic Magazine.”
I changed the username to “filmicmag” and the web address on the profile settings to “filmicmag.com,” but when I go to the site, the name remains “filmfervormag.com”.
Typing in “filmicmag.wordpress.com” simply redirects to the film fervor url.
Basically, then, I’m trying to find a way to change the “filmfervormag” address to the “filmicmag” one (without the .wordpress part).
I’m still somewhat new to wordpress blog-building and I’m having trouble figuring this out, so assistance and a degree of patience would be much appreciated.

To make sure I understand, you purchased the custom domain filmfervormag.com as part of your premium plan, but now need your custom domain to be filmicmag.com instead. Is that right?
It’s not possible to change custom domains the way you change you .wordpress.com domain. Instead, you’ll need to purchase the custom domain upgrade for the new domain. You can do that from here
Once you do that, let me know. I can bundle the new domain with your premium plan so that when your plan renews it includes the new domain rather than the old one.

filmicmag.com is now the domain that will renew with your Premium Plan. filmfervormag.com will redirect to filmicmag.com until filmfervormag.com expires next March.
