Problems choosing site icon

  I tried to create a new site icon. I uploaded the image I wanted to use (it’s square and at least 512 x 512 pixels so no problems there), selected it and when I clicked ‘Continue’, I got this error message: ‘Sorry, there was a problem loading the image. Please close this editor and try selecting the image again.’

  I tried uploading another image and the same issue happened. I even chose the sample image that was already up there (the one with the hand holding the smartphone), same error message. I tried this in both Firefox and Google Chrome and had the same issue. It just won’t let me use a site icon. And yes, my blog is already set to Public, so it’s not that either. Please help, this is driving me nuts.

  Hi junkyardbluebox,

  There seems to be an issue with setting site icon via Setting -> General

  Why don’t you try the following path to set your site icon:

  Customize -> Site Identity

  It should work without a hitch.

  Thanks for the heads up, skysthelimit688.

  I’m in the middle of importing my posts from another site but as soon as that’s finished I’ll give what you suggested a try. Fingers crossed it’ll work.
