Problems creating a wordpress.com account and linking to jetpack
-
I have a wordpress.org website hosted through tsohost. I have installed jetpack, and now I am trying to use jetpack to create sharing buttons on my site, but for this I need a wordpress.com account. But when I try to create an account and link my existing domain name, it says I have to pay wordpress.com for a further subscription. Is this correct? Do I have to pay for hosting in 2 places in order to use jetpack?

Hello @
You certainly don’t need to pay for hosting in two different places, however you might need to have a jetpack plan purchased separately for your site on WordPress.org.
How about you give the following link a read and see if you have met all the necessary steps:
Alternatively, I suggest you take this question to the Jetpack Support. The Jetpack support team would be the best people to contact if you need help with this:
Hope this points you in the right direction of support.
