Problems deleting old website
-
About a year ago, I moved my personal blog, gailpjohnston.wordpress.com, to a self-hosted WordPress.org site, gailperryjohnston.com.
I thought my job was done, but last week I discovered that people can still go to gailpjohnston.wordpress.com. This is so confusing for my identity! I want that old site gone.
But the instructions for deleting a site are problematic: When I go to my old WordPress.com account, it says that my primary blog is johnstonandalves.com, yet Johnstonandalves is a self-hosted site! Why is it showing there? I DO NOT WANT TO DELETE JOHNSTONANDALVES, NOR HPLANDSCAPE. And I’m given no option to delete gailperryjohnston.wordpress.com.
What should I do? Please help me with all questions. To sum up: 1) Why is Johnstonandalves.com showing up in my wordpress.com account when it is a self-hosted .org account? 2) How can I delete gailperryjohnston.wordpress.com?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

http://gailperryjohnston.wordpress.com/ does exist.
All blogs are independent sites so what you do on or with one has no affect on any others. To delete a free hosted WordPress.COM blog you must be logged in under the exact same username account that registered the blog. To prevent accidental or inadvertent deletion of blogs, there are multiple warnings given that blog deletion is permanent and irreversible. Lastly, a verification link is sent in an email and must be clicked to delete a blog. If clicking that link does not work then copy and paste it into your upper browser window and click.

Deleted blog URLs are not recycled, regardless of who registered and deleted them and no exceptions are made.

Why is Johnstonandalves.com showing up in my wordpress.com account when it is a self-hosted .org account?
Both http://johnstonandalves.com/ and http://hplandscape.com/ use Jetpack, which connects to your WordPress.com account to provide many features. In a sense, they are also blogs under your WordPress.com account.
How can I delete gailperryjohnston.wordpress.com?
http://gailpjohnston.wordpress.com/ doesn’t actually exist, It belongs to the user gailpjohnston who chose not to open the blog when they opened their WordPress.com account.

Thank you everyone. Logging into WordPress.com with the exact user name and password I started with is what I needed.
Thank you for the option of just making it visible to myself, rather than deleting it. I just did that. Thanks again.
