Problems embedding anything from Youtube to Slideshow..

I’m trying to do a wordpress blog outside wordpress.com with 2.0.1
It’s for the school where I work at.
I’ll try to explain my problem, I’m sorry about my bad english:
I’m using the “Green Effect” theme (It has two sidebars to the right). I’ve changed just the header photo, the sidebar titles to my language and the position of some widgets. Everything through html editing the “sidebar.php”.
Everything is perfect but: I try to embed everything from youtube or google videos, to some Slideshows, and the problems are multiple. In Firefox, videos move other posts to the right and sidebars to the left bottom of the page. In Explorer it’s showed a window but it’s white with a red cross in the top left. Slideshow in Firefox moves other posts to the right and the sidebars to the bottom of the other posts in the right; Explorer does it perfect…Please help!!!! I’m not an expert and I’ve been three full days with it, I’m getting crazy!!

Well, I’ve tried with other themes and it seems that my Firefox moves everything. Can the them be uncompatible with Firefox?? With explorer everything semms to be OK except of the videos, it does only show the white window where the youtube video should be but white with the red cross, like if it couldn’t open it…
