Problems Embedding Map

I’m trying to embed a map made maptive.com onto my wordpress site. When I copy the given ’embed’ code onto the site, it will display the map in the ‘visual’ tab; however, when I save my changes and check the site, it will only display a hyperlink. I’ve tried removing the hyperlink and re saving, and it has not worked. Additionally, I’ve noticed when I return to the editor, the code is different from how I had saved it.
