Problems embedding SlideShare presentation into WordPress

  I use WordPress for my high school History teaching website. This has been running for years, embedding SlideShare presentations.

  For some reason, I can no longer do this. When I paste an ’embed’ code from SlideShare, it tells me it is not possible to do this. It does not explain why.

  

  The only thing I can do is add a link to the SlideShare website, which is not then an embedded presentation and so is less effective for students.

  On occasion, it looks like it has embedded (on the Edit page) but then doesn’t work when saving and going to the main site.

  

  

  This does not affect any of my previous presentations, only new ones that I add or when I try to update them.

  Does anyone have any idea why this problem might occur, and how to fix it?
