problems in customizing the widgets
-
I am trying to change the widgets on my blog. I have been doing this before and know how the process works . I am using the Morning After theme and this supports a secondary sidebar.
I have done this before and the screen appearance – widgets consist of a block in the middle with all the possible widgets and a block on the right hand to which you can drag and drop the widgets or you can slect and add the widget ( in which you can idnetify which bar you want to have it and in what position ).I have noticed before that the page did not work in IE8 and Chrome browser and it only worked for me in the Mozilla browser. Now it also does not work anymore in the mozilla browser and I can not customize my sifdebars. It is 1 block – the block which were supposed to be on teh right-hand are now on the bottom ; I can no longer drag and drop ; the add button does not appear in the disabled darg & drop mode
what is the problem -do I need to enable something in my browser ?
is there an bug in the page setting ??Rudy

Hi there,
As a first step, could you try clearing your cache?

I have re-installed the latest version of Mozilla
I have verified that JavaScript is enabled – Yes
Problem continues to exist
I have looked at the error console in Mozilla and find a lot of warnings on the page
Just to mention a few that might be relevant:

I have installed Mozilla again on a 2nd PC
I am now getting a message in the browser which states : “additional plugins required to display all the media in this page”when I click : “Install missing plug-ins” – the Plugin Finder service can find no suitable plugins – I need to do a manual search
Can you inform me which plug-ins are needed for the widget page ??

That is very odd. I’d like to rule-out a browser specific issue.
Would you please try a different browser?

I have dons that
I worked in IE – download a new version of Chrome and a new version of Mozilla
verified in all if Javascript was running
tested it on 2 PC’sall browsers have the same problem
can I upload a screenshot ? -
Yes, please take a screenshot and upload it via Media -> Add New in your blog’s Dashboard.
Once you have done that, let me know, and I’ll take a look.

I have uploaded 2 screen shot at the media of the blog http://oplaadpunt.wordpress.com/
screenshot 1 is showing the top of the page
screen shot 2 is showing that the sidebar fields are not on the right but on the bottom -
Do you have any luck if you check or uncheck “Always use HTTPS when visiting administration pages” at Users -> Personal Settings in your blog’s Dashboard?
