Problems in display
-
WordPress won’t display properly on any computer on my wifi network. The format is all weird.
I tried using different browsers, removing cookies, clearing the cache, but none of it helped.
What could be the problem? Will this sort itself out?The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
-
Well I have problems with every page on Word-press not just my blog. I took a screen shot and saved it, but how to I send it to you?

Diagnosis: Looks like you are running HTML without the CSS.
Is this happening on just wordpress related sites or is it happening on non wordpress sites or both? -
Just wordpress, everything else seems to be running smoothly.
Can you tell me how to fix it?
Really appreciate the help. -
If anyone messed with the firewall settings recently it may impact it.
Let’s see if we can’t figure it out:
What browser are you using?
Have you tried it with a different browser?
Does it give the same effect? -
-
Well, I tried Chrome and Firefox both. Same problem.
I tried three different devices too (my personal laptop, my phone, and a macbook).
The problem is in my internet, since my friend can access my blog just fine (even logged in).
Now even if someone messed with the firewall, what can I do to fix it? -
If your friend is using the same internet as you are that means it isn’t the firewall, if it was your friend would be blocked.
Have your tried disabling ALL your browser plug-ins and then reloading the page? -
Sorry, I should have clarified, friend is in a different place using a different internet. Will just try disabling all browser plugins though. Have not tried that.

Its bedtime here. Do leave a message if you have one. Will reply in the morning.
Thank you. -
Ok, I will tag it for a staff follow-up.
In the mean-time see if someone messed with firewall protections and/or contact your ISP. -
There’s no known issue I am aware of and Staff cannot help anyone who fails to provide relevant information to work with. In order to help you we need to know your specific computing environment details. Please work through what follows and report back.
1. If you are not running one of the browsers and versions listed at http://browsehappy.com/ please try upgrading or switching first.
2. If you are using an IE browser in compatibility mode please disable that mode. http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1196-internet-explorer-compatibility-view-turn-off.html
3. If you are running one of the browsers and versions listed at http://browsehappy.com/
(a) Try clearing your browser’s cache http://www.google.com/support/accounts/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=32050
If applicable see here for instructions on how to clear the cache for Chrome and Safari on the iPad:
http://browsers.about.com/od/howtousemobilebrowser1/ss/safari-ipad-clear-cache.htm
http://browsers.about.com/od/howtousemobilebrowser1/ss/How-To-Clear-Browsing-Data-In-Chrome-For-Ipad_6.htm(b) Make sure that you have both third-party cookies enabled and JavaScript enabled
http://en.support.wordpress.com/third-party-cookies/
http://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/answer.py?answer=12654(c) Disable all browser extensions or add-ons temporarily.
(d) Try enabling HTTPS: http://en.support.wordpress.com/https/
Add both *.wordpress.com and *.wp.com to your list of trusted sites under the Security tab. Make sure to uncheck the box for “Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone.” http://en.support.wordpress.com/https/#frequently-asked-questions
4. You can use this link to see if your flash is up to date. http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ If it’s not then go to http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/ and download and install the latest version of flash.
5. Try using another browser.
6. If you are not successful let us know:
(a) Exactly what kind of device you are using to connect to the internet and to WordPress.com.
(b) Exactly which browser (and version of it) you’re using by checking here if necessary http://www.whatbrowser.org/
(c) Exactly what you experience including what any error reports you receive state. -
Hi there,
Are you able to view the pages at these links:
- https://s1.wp.com/wp-content/themes/default/style.css?m=1249392855g&3
- https://s2.wp.com/wp-content/themes/default/style.css?m=1249392855g&3
Each link should display a bunch of plain text. If the page loads blank or doesn’t load at all, something is likely blocking your connection to the files that load styles on WordPress.com.
In that case, it would help to have a traceroute from your computer to s0.wp.com. This page has details on how to do that from different computers: Traceroutes
You can copy-paste the results of your traceroute and I’ll take a look. If you have any questions about it, please let me know.

Hey. Th problem is definitely with my ISP. Since, I logged on with a different net connection (a portable one) and it was fine.
After that the problem flickers on and off. Right now it is fixed. Will try speaking to the service providers. Maybe they can help.
I really appreciate all this help.
Thanks. -
Yep, that sounds like an ISP problem — your provider should be able to sort out what’s going wrong and get that fixed up for you. You can also mention to them that the trouble is likely due to problems connecting to these URLs:
Please let me know if I can do anything more to help! :)
