I was trying to log into wordpress to work on some changes in my website and used the log in information I got from the company who designed my website. They gave me the user ID and the Password and I have been working on my site in the past. But today it will not allow me to log in. The problem with resetting the password in this specific case is that I didn’t set up this account and have no idea what email address the web designer used. How can I change all this ideally without contacting the web designer. Is that even possible? Thank you.

It appears that your website uses the self-hosted version of WordPress rather than WordPress.com, which is what this forum is designed to help with. Note the difference here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
You may be able to find help here: https://wordpress.org/support/ or alternatively contact your hosting provider.
Lastly, you’ve published your password on a public forum which is also indexed by search engines. Though I’ve tagged staff to redact it, please change all accounts which use that password immediately.
