Problems logging on
-
In the last half hour or so I’ve had problems logging on. After I enter my user name and password, my browser (Chrome) directs me to a page that reads:
“You attempted to reach en.wordpress.com, but instead you actually reached a server identifying itself as wordpress.com. This may be caused by a misconfiguration on the server or by something more serious. An attacker on your network could be trying to get you to visit a fake (and potentially harmful) version of en.wordpress.com. You should not proceed.”
I have found other routes to get logged on, but right now I don’t remember how I did so. The problem seems to be spotty. Sometimes I can get logged on, sometimes I can’t.

People are reporting LOTS of similar issues with Chrome. Either regress to an earlier version or change browsers.

I’ve been using Chrome for over a year and I just ran into this problem tonight. Have people been reporting similar issues for some time?
Thanks.

Now I just had the same problem on IE8! I’m able to get to the forum page to login also. I can also start typing in the address for my blog and then jump to the logged out page and get logged in there (if that makes sense).
