Problems mapping to a domain I own

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hi,
I’m trying to push the free cansouth2014.wordpress.com to a domain I own using the domain mapping upgrade for $13. It doesn’t appear to be working–I don’t see it in my domain names and I can’t see the transaction in my PayPal account either. I’m not sure if I just need to wait for a couple of hours for it to go through or if I need an upgrade other than the mapping upgrade.
    Thanks for your help.

Sorry, I’m not sure what you mean: Did you mean for cansouth.com to be mapped to cansouth2004.wordpress.com? Because that seems to be working.

However, this support document on domain mapping might help you: https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/

If your domain doesn’t load correctly or you see an error, don’t worry; it can take a few hours for your domain name servers (DNS) to update fully. You will also likely need to clear your browser’s cache.

DON’T TOUCH ANYTHING – take a long walk and let the changes work – you will be the last one to see the changes. they clearing your browser cache & forcing a page reload

    Hold Your Horses!

It can take as long as 72 hours for DNS changes to become widely available. If you’re still not seeing your site loading at cansouth.com, please wait a few more hours, clear your browser cache, and try again.
    Nameservers Validated!

Congratulations! The nameservers appear to be set up correctly for cansouth.com.

It’s working now… Somehow PayPal wasn’t working and tried with the other options. Am all set. Thanks for answering.
