I added the subscription widget to my blog, http://www.carolyncholland.wordpress.com .
A submission request was made by the [Email Removed] , and received the following message:

Your subscription did not succeed, please try again with a valid email address.
This is the blog subscription page for [Email Removed] You will receive an email whenever a new post is made on these blogs. Delete a subscription to stop receiving emails for that blog.
You have no active subscriptions.
If you are expecting to see subscriptions here please check that you used the same email address and that they are not still pending.
This is a legitimate email address connected to a wordpress blog, http://www.beanreywriters.wordpress.com.
Another person attempted to sign up for a subscription, an aol.com address, and they received the same message.
Is there something I am unaware of or something I am doing wrong? How does a person sign up for the subscription?

I want to add the “Blog Subscription Widget” to my blog. I’m trying to find it via the “Install Plugins” page, where I can search for widgets. I’m finding many widgets relating to subscriptions, but nothing matching what’s described here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/blog-subscription-widget/
How can I find that particular widget?
Thanks,

@treeskier, I answered you in the other thread you started. You are in the wrong forum, and the blog subscriptions widget is unique to wordpress.COM. There is not a version of it for self-hosted blogs. See my full answer in the other thread: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/problems-with-new-blog-subscription-feature?replies=5 .
