Problems reclaiming site address

  Hi! I’m hoping to change my site address back to an old .wordpress.com address. I’ve had this domain in the past, but changed it. Now I would like to change it back. When I attempt to change it, an error appears saying ‘sorry, that site has already been used!’ However, there isn’t currently a site at that address. Is there no way to reclaim this url? Thank you!

  Hi @jellyfable, sorry, when you change a site address, the old site address is no longer available for anyone to register or use and cannot be recovered. There is a warning during the name change process to that affect. For more on this, see the following section of our support page.
