problems transferring my blogs

    hi, I’ve tried to use a function in wix.com to transfer my wordpress blogs to my wix blog. I’ve been onto their technical support and they say I need to talk to you guys about a JSON file (extension?) to my tnwalker.wordpress.com link for it to work. Do you know what this is???

    Hi there,

    Are you following Wix’s instructions here?

    The only migration method we support on WordPress.com is to export your site content as a .XML file under Tools ->Export in the dashboard, but reading through Wix’s instructions it appears they try to directly fetch the posts programmatically instead. Based on your “JSON”-mention above, they do this via an API request.

    Our API is enabled by default on all WordPress.com sites, so there’s nothing that needs to be installed or activated on our end in this regard. You can see the JSON output for your site if I request a list of your published posts:

    https://public-api.wordpress.com/rest/v1.1/sites/tnwalker.wordpress.com/posts/

    (It’s showing the 20 most recent, as that’s the default, but the total 176 at the top indicates is does contain all your posts.)

    So I don’t see anything on our end that would be preventing Wix from importing your content.

    Can you ask Wix support to explain in more detail what exactly it is they need here?
