Problems when starting a second blog
-
I need help.
I’ve had a blog, http://luttradbibbla.wordpress.com/ , for a couple of years. No problems with that one, been working perfect, nice and easy. Last week I decided to start a second blog with a different subject. And now the problems started.
I thought it would be two separate blogs but under the same account. At first it seemed like that. I got a different web address, http://sushas.wordpress.com/ , and a name for my new blog. Decided on a theme and started to write a couple of posts. But as an author on my new blog it states “Den luttrade bibliotekarien”- the name on my original blog. I thought it would be “Sushas syskrin” – my new second blog. I also thought that if I comment on other people’s blogs as “Sushas syskrin” that name could appear but if I understand it right, there is just one choice, and it is automatically, http://luttradbibbla.wordpress.com/ . I can change it but then it would be the same problem for my first blog.
I have also managed to change the administrator, which was a mistake and now it’s locked and I can’t change it back.My questions are:
1. Can I have two separate blogs under the same account?
2. Can there be two different authors, one for each blog?
3. Can there be two different avatars, one for each blog?
4. Can I have two different profiles, one for each blog? Now my profile just fits the contents of my first blog.
5. Can I comment on other blogs under two different names? If I comment on another blog and people click on my name/blog name I want it to be redirected to the right blog (for the subject).
6. Can any of it be done without having to upgrade?
7. If none of the above is possible do I have to delete my new blog and register a new blog with a new account?I hope I have been able to explain my problems clearly.

I managed to change so the author dosen’t show in the post – so Q. 2 may be solved for now.

Hi there! To answer your questions in order:
1. Yes, you can.
2. Yes, but if the authors are going to be separate with no overlap, it’s better to have separate users.
3, 4, 5. Only if you use separate accounts.
6. No upgrades are required for any of this.
7. You do not need to delete your current blog. You would just need to register a separate account with a different email address. -
Thanks for your quick answer.
I feel a bit stupid but how do I register a separate account with a different email? -
All you need to do is log out of your current account, and register with a new address on the wordpress.com home page as you did before.
