Problems with "Add Media"

Hi there,
I’ve been struggling with “add media” and “see comments” options for the past few days. I have no clue which version of WP I have as cannot find this information anywhere. I use Chrome.
Any ideas how to fix the issue? Is it something at my end or are there any maintenance works at WP end? Should I wait for having this fixed or should I try to fix this on my own?
Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks!

The version of WordPress.com is not relevant here at WordPress.com where Staff do all upgrades and where our versions are slightly ahead of WordPress.org versions.
You must be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard.
If you are not running one of the browsers and versions listed at http://browsehappy.com/ please try upgrading or switching first.

Hi, thanks for all these details. I did as per the above instructions but it didn’t work. I’m using Chrome 30. All the other websites are working perfectly fine. The only struggle is with wordpress: add media, stats, view comments. I guess many users are having the same issue from what I’ve seen on the forum.
Any other ideas how I could it bring it back to life?Many thanks.

What Media did you want to upload? Did you try “the old upload” function (the pure html version)? If you want to upload pictures only which measurement have they (pixel sizes, megabyte size)?

Photos. But it does not matter, when I click on “Add media” button there is no response at all. Plus, I cannot see the stats of my blog. The problem ocurred last week and has been there so far. Something has changed with WP and many people have been reporting the same issues for the past few days so it is not only at my end I believe.
As for extensions, I use Adblock, Ghostery and Google Docs – does it matter?

Because stats and upload are JavaScript/Flash (esp. the new stats outside the dashboard) AdBlock could matter …
A way to check if it’s WP’s or your turn: Try another browser. And / or try with disabled AdBlock. And enable WP-stats in Ghostery!

The thing is I always had these. And there were no problems with WP. But let me check how it works on Mozilla. Thanks :)

WP has definitely changed something – like AdBlock and Ghostery and Chrome (did you an update to 30 – automaticly – before the trouble started?) something changed too. In the past four weeks learned that it is a MUST to have two or three browsers to maintain my WP-blogs (and to handle i. e. this awfull reader problem).
