Problems with AltoFocus Theme

    I’m using the Altofocus theme for my blog, The World Inside YOU and a number of problems have emerged with it.

    First of all, hyperlinks in the text of my posts are visible and change colour in the block editor, but they look like normal text in the published posts, whether I hover over them or not.

    Secondly, I’ve enabled the Link Target feature in the advanced menu options of the customizer. But whether the ‘open link in new tab’ feature is selected or not, the custom links in my primary (header menu) keep opening in the same tab.

    Thirdly and finally. The category and tags sections on my blog post sidebar have started to display side by side instead of one beneath the other.

    I like the AltoFocus theme. I’ve tried other grid layout themes and AltoFocus displays my content the best by far. But these little problems have the capacity to undermine my readers’ experience. Please help me fix them.

    Hi there @snippyfangirl, I’m going to take your questions one at a time if that’s alright.

    Yikes! I just took a look at your site, and between the hyperlinks not standing out and your use of underline (which usually signifies a link), I had no idea where to click.

    I was not able to duplicate this on a test site, though, unless I used the black and white color palette. I’m reporting a bug on that here. But I did notice all of the other color palettes make the links very visible. Would you be willing to try one of those for now? You can get back to the orange version by choosing “Default” for the color scheme, or pick any of the other schemes listed.

    I did some testing on this one as well; you’re correct, this does seem to be a bug. Good eye! I’ve filed that here.

    I wasn’t able to duplicate this one or see it on your site. Could you get a screenshot and upload it to your media library, then update us here?
