problems with appearance and category descriptions

  Hello, I am trying to make category descriptions that are well spaced below the category archives title. As of now, I can only make them appear only one space below the category title, leaving a very messy impression, especially if the description is short. Also, it would be nice to have the category archives: title well centred.

  I am using Imbalance 2 as the Theme, and am trying to achieve a similar look as is represented by “the patterned plate” on this page: http://thepatternedplate.wordpress.com/category/kitchengear-loves/
