Problems with automatic link to Facebook page

I have my blog to automatically post to my Facebook page each morning, and was just told that there’s no image coming up with the link despite each post having a featured image selected. This is new as the picture used to always show along with the link on the FB page. How can I fix this? (I’d rather not have to post the link each day to my FB page manually as I’m not that organized…)

So there’s still no picture… when I checked first thing this morning, the picture was there, but now it’s just the post title and the link. Ugh.
Is it a new thing with Facebook/ WordPress I wonder?

Yeah, but it’s just my personal page. Sorry… should have focused on that. I don’t have a separate blog FB page, just post through my personal one. It looks like it started doing this a couple of weeks ago… nothing changed at WordPress then regarding the sharing did it?

OK. All set… I just took a shot of how the posts are coming up on FB… not my whole FB Timeline.

Oh, that’s normal for your timeline. Facebook likes to group multiple shares from the same source like that.
In the newsfeed, it will be displayed with the URL, summary, and an image.

I’ve been getting feedback that there isn’t an image coming up, though. I’ll double check, but in the past… I’ve had the image on my timeline. I uploaded a shot from when it started to change. In the past, it was always like the Girls Will Be Girls one…. small feature image with link.

When folks say they don’t see the image, make sure that they’re viewing their Newsfeed ( https://www.facebook.com/ ) not your Timeline ( https://www.facebook.com/charlotte.m.smith.54 ).
The images won’t be visible on your Timeline due to how Facebook groups multiple items from the same app.

Gotcha. I’ll ask around. So the fact that the pictures USED to come up is simply that I didn’t have a certain number of posts? After a while, FB groups them w/o image on my timeline?

I logged in as my husband and this is how it’s coming up on the newsfeed. See new image in my media library…

That is correct.

Ok, that’s definitely the Newsfeed view, note the slightly different display. As for the image in this case, it looks like Facebook just glanced over it.
We really have no control over what they choose to use. They normally take images, but sometimes they don’t. Is it just this post, or has it been others?

It’s been since 10/10. I post automatically every morning at 7 a.m., but don’t bother to check FB when I can tell people are reading it. It’s weird, right?

Before. I learned that the hard way when I forgot to choose a featured pic early on. I’ve had the same system for the last few months…
Obviously I can just post a link manually each day on the FB page, but it seems weird that all of a sudden it changed. The images are such an integral part of a blog. I’m also not organized enough to remember each morning to post…
