Problems with blog layout

  I am using the Balasana theme, but my blog is not displaying properly. There are 2 issues.

  Firstly, I have been trying to change the layout by selecting a new blog layout in the page editor. I chose a layout with a header image and small images with excerpts showing the 4 most recent posts. However, no matter what I do, my blog layout remains showing all the posts with their full text and does not apply the new layout.

  Secondly, the featured images for each post are far too large. They take ages to load and take up the whole screen. I have had to turn off the featured image for the most recent post. Surely this is something that should be encoded in the page layout?

  This is a very image-heavy theme, essentially it was designed with that first in mind, so showcasing the images is kind of intentional.

  Thanks for the reply! I got help via live chat and email so I think it is now fixed. I had the blog set to “posts page” and needed to change it back to a standard page in order for the blog layout to apply.

  I’ve also been playing around with CSS so I think I have sorted out the problem of the featured images being too large.
