Problems with comment moderation

    Hi,

    I have a big problem with moderating my comments. I get an unbelieveable amount of spam so my moderation que fills upp very quickly, so much in fact that now it has gone into “error”-mode. After 3 272 comments it says:

    Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /home/fashtas/public_html/blog/wp-includes/functions-formatting.php on line 61

    I don’t know what to do about this. I want to get rid of all the comments because they are still adding up but I cannot delete anything. I’m up to 13 837 comments now! And they’re ALL spam!

    Does anyone know how I can solve this and get rid of all the comments?
    Also, does anyone have a good tip of what I can do to block as much spam as possible. I have tried installing spam-blockers but they don’t seem to make a difference. Everything winds up in the moderaion que but that fills up so quickly, I would like to just block them completely.

    Akismet is what moderates spam on WordPress.com. Your blog, however, is not a Wp.com one.
