Problems with comments

    I get an error message when I try to leave a comment on my own blog:

    “You must be logged in to comment with that email address.”

    Many of my readers are experiencing the same problem. However, I have my comments set to enable anyone to leave a comment, i.e. they are not required to leave an email address or be logged in.

    From looking at the Support Forum, it looks as though other bloggers are having the same/similar problem. Is there a system-wide problem?

    We’ve recently updated our commenting system.

    Now, if someone tries to comment with an email address that’s attached to a WordPress.com account, they’ll need to sign into WordPress.com before they can comment.

    If commenters have forgotten their password they can request a reset:
    http://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword

    If someone tries to comment with an email that’s not tied to a WordPress.com account, they won’t need to sign up for an account (unless you’ve enabled this option at Settings -> Discussion).
