Problems with Connections theme
-
I am having problem with the theme “Connections”… My blog has been up for nearly half a year without any problems All of a sudden the navigation-bar on the right (where alle the widgets are) has moved below the last post of the page, as if there was only one column instead of two.
The problem only exists on the first page (where I write the news-posts), all the other pages (about me etc.) work fine, the widgets are displayed on the right side of the page.
The problem can be seen with safari, firefox (both mac) and IE 7 on a pc, I have tried emptying the cache and got rid of all the cookies, but still it won’t work. Friends of mine seem to have the same problems, when viewing the blog. Oh, btw, changing to a different two column-theme doesn’t work either – you just get the same probs.
Please help me, you guys.
Thanks, Seb

I’m not seeing any problems (using FF on a PC) but generally the issue is that you’ve got an open tag somewhere (assuming that the blog in question is the one linked in your user name). The best thing to do is set the number of posts on the front page to one, which will allow you to identify the offending post. Then clean up the code in that post.

The blog linked to your name is using Contempt and it looks fine in IE7.
If you’re still having trouble with Connections, set your blog to display only one post at a time, then go through them till you discover the troublemaker.

wow, that was fast…..
the blog i was talking about is grashuepfer.wordpress.com
I’ll try what you guys told me and give feedback here! thanks a lot

yeah, it’s working again!
one post had (as you guys said) an open post ( <div> ) which messed up the columns.
Thank you, thank you, thank you…
