I am opening a online hair extension store and i would like to add multiple prices to the different hair hair lengths that I will be selling. I need a drop down tab to facilitate all of those proces along with all of the hair textures and lengths. And I am unable to do that. Is it that the option of doing that task isn’t available.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hello,

Congratulations on your new online business! The functionality you are describing would require you to use an online eCommerce plugin, such as WooCommerce. For more information about WooCommerce, you can visit https://woocommerce.com/

To use external plugins such as WooCommerce on WordPress.com, you will need a Business plan: https://wordpress.com/pricing/

    Good luck!

    Hey @alejoseboutique,

I’m not sure the Sela Theme is totally conducive to what you’re shooting for, but with a little flexibility, I think we can come up with something close that doesn’t cost anything.

One idea would be to create a Primary menu item for “Hair” and then create an individual menu item for each of your products. Once this is done you can put the each of the individual product menu items in a drop-down under the “Hair” item.

To do this you’ll first need to go to your Customizer and click Primary+ Add ItemsPages. Here you’ll be able to create pages and corresponding menu items for “Hair” and all the products. Once that’s done, go to the sidebar all the way to the left, and subordinate each product item to the “Hair” item by dragging them under it.

Each item will correspond to a page in which you can include more info about your products. For “Hair” you might want to include all of the info about your products, and for each individual item, you might want to include just the info that is specific to that product.

Again, this is only an approximation to your request, but given the theme’s limitations, it might be the closest we get. Let me know if you have any other questions.

    All the best,
    Travis
