Problems With Custom Menu – dropdown access

    Readers of my blog have told me that on their computers, the drop down menus do no work. They hover over the menu, it drops down showing the items in that menu, but they can then not scroll down with their mouse to choose a menu page.

    I am using a cutom menu but could not figure out this problem with the “Custom Menus” information page.

    Please let me know what I need to change so my readers can access all pages of me webiste.

    Hi there,

    I went and checked out your page and noticed that with the theme that you’ve chosen, the design has been made so that there is a small gap between the menu word and the actual menu, so that if you hover over it and then lazily move your mouse down it might result in the menu going away.

    You might want to ask your readers if that’s what the issue is? See if when they view the menus, if they move their mouse more quickly from, for example, the word “Pole Parties” down into the menu, if that allows them to access the menu.

    If there is some other issue at work, let me know! I would need some additional information though. What browser and version number as well as what operating system and version everyone is using, so I could work to reproduce it, if possible as well as the exact error your readers are getting!

    Thanks so much for the reply! If I choose not to use the Custom Menu Widget, will I still have the ability to create a menu along the top of the site as I have? And maybe that will resolve the issue?

    Hi there,

    Thanks for writing back in! I was just looking for my message to you in fact! I spent some more time looking at your page and actually got some of our developers involved as well.

    There does in fact appear to be something at issue here. The developers already have it in front of them and as soon as I have any additional information, I’ll let you know.

    Hi @ammcjd,

    I’m so sorry it’s been so long. We don’t have a solution for it quite yet, but I actually talked with one of the developers about this at the end of the week and it is something that they are still working on. I hope to have good news for you soon!
