Problems with dashboard display…

I noticed this problem yesterday and I’ve done all that I could think of to do to clear it up, which admittedly isn’t much, but nothing seems to be working.
None of the drop-down menus on the side of my dashboard work nor can I switch to writing an entry in visual mode. Having to type it out in HTML mode is annoying and something I generally try to avoid, especially when I have links added to the post and have to read around the coding.
Is this a problem across the board with WordPress or am I left to sort out the problem on my own? I have yet to find a link which might provide me with an idea of any on-going technical problems with WordPress so I’m left to guess.

I’d like to add that after reading of a somewhat similar problem by another user – of not being able to embed YouTube videos – I tried the recommended solution there and the problem persists.

I’m having exactly the same issues as complexwoman — major issues on several fronts — and it’s very frustrating, especially when your blog serves as a primary business communication tool. I have cleared my cache and this has no effect.

I’m also having problems with blogs loading completely. Blogs other than mine.
