Problems with domain transfer from IONOS
-
Hey, I have a domain registered with IONOS and I need to connect it to WordPress. I have also purchased the hosting via IONOS.
I thought I had selected the correct settings in IONOS, and the name servers are showing as being connected to WordPress, but within WordPress I can’t find anywhere to manage the settings. Looking through all the WordPress and IONOS help articles it looks like I have to do something in WordPress to enter an authorisation code or do something to link them up.
Has anyone got a similar setup and can you help?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi, I don’t see any WordPress.com sites under your account here.
I see http://s908147651.websitehome.co.uk/ connected to your WordPress.com account using the Jetpack plugin (one of the plugin’s many features); as you mentioned, that site is not a WordPress.com site.
It is a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but hosted with IONOS.
To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities: https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/
If you want to keep that site hosted with IONOS but use your domain on it, you’ll need to work with your hosting provider’s support; you won’t run the domain through WordPress.com.
That is a self-hosted WordPress.org site, which we can’t help with here.
For any other issues with the site, WordPress.org has complete documentation for self-hosted/installed versions of WordPress.org at https://wordpress.org/support/ and support at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
If you’d like to move the whole site to us instead, you can by following the steps at https://wordpress.com/support/import/import-an-entire-wordpress-site/
