Problems with Elegant Grunge header and width
-
I’m having problems with the Elegant Grunge header and the overall width of the page. If I choose the double sidebar layout, the header image has nice grunge edges. But if I switch to the single sidebar layout, which I prefer, the header image shrinks and reverts to normal straight edges, and the entire page gets narrower instead of the main column getting wider.
As indicated in the diagrams of the four layout options, the overall width of the page (and header image) should stay the same, with the main column getting narrower or wider depending on the number of sidebars selected.
Love this theme, but so far I’ve only got it on my test blog. If it can’t be fixed permanently, I don’t want to deploy it on my main blog. Hope someone can help. I love this theme and want to use it.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I’m just tried a simply white header image and set the theme options to all the different settings and got the grunge border on all of them. Since the theme does not get wider or narrower overall, switching from one layout the other should not make a difference.
I would suggest clearing your browser cache and trying again.
What browser and browser version are you using?

I just checked your blog again and saw that you switched to the single sidebar layout and saw that indeed the grunge border did virtually disappear and the header image changed.
I just rechecked my test blog and even though it worked properly the first time I checked, it is now doing the same thing as yours.
I would contact staff directly at http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/ . I’ll also tag this thread for staff attention, but there is no assurance they will see my tag, so do contact them directly.

Ah, actually the theme does change widths when you go from one sidebar to two. You are correct.
Contact staff. They have bugs to hunt down.
