problems with email notifications

Hi. A few days ago, I stopped receiving regular emails of my short daily blogs, for no obvious reason. Since then, I’ve managed to restore the emails, but now they are in a strange script, and include masses of symbols for all the punctuation. Unfortunately, I can’t find any way of restoring my mail notifications to ordinary text, which is how they used to be. Can anyone help, please? I’d be so grateful! Ruth Kirk.

NB I’ve realised that I’m still not getting my normal daily email of my blog. What I’m getting is a page that shows my alterations, after publishing.

It looks like you’ve subscribed to “Email Post Changes” here:
https://rkirksite.wordpress.com/wp-admin/options-general.php?page=email_post_changesThat emails you every time there’s a change to any of your posts.
You should still be getting the subscription emails of new posts, too. I see we sent the last one to your email on 2014-01-19 at 08:58:02

Thanks so much for replying. I manage to sort it out be re subscribing on my second email address. I now understand the emails that include code – they are the ones that show my alterations. Thanks for all you help! All best wishes from Ruth XXX
