Problems with fb

    I manage two blogs: http://www.cinemasperimentale.it and http://www.ukiyo-e.it
    When I scheduled http://ukiyo-e.it/2014/08/28/shunga-di-keisai-eisen/ facebook post showed people the cover picture and not the picture in the post, and so I have a problem with the other site when I embed youtube code because fb does not show my post, but only the video and does not redirect on my website.

    Hi Marco,

    You can see what information we send Facebook for that post on ukiyo-e.it in the Facebook debugger here:

    We send Facebook the picture in the post, but if the picture is smaller than 200×200 pixels Facebook usually won’t use it. Facebook will choose a larger picture from your blog, instead.

    Can you please try posting a larger image next time (at least 200×200 pixels) and see if it works better for you?

    When Facebook sees an embedded video, it will highlight that video in the Facebook post. (That’s how Facebook displays posts like that.) If you’d like more control over how the Facebook post is displayed, I’d recommend manually sharing those posts on Facebook, instead.

    When you’re creating the post, you can change the Sharing settings to not share a specific post on Facebook. That way, after it’s published you can share the post manually.
