Problems with featured image Sela theme

I have the Sela theme and since a couple of weeks ago the featured images on my website pages have changed in size. Before they were a bit zoomed in but now they display the whole picture which looks very bad. Is there a problem with the theme or what have happened?

The featured image on the page https://ransailing.wordpress.com/the-crew/ has the dimensions 118- X 435 pixels, which is the same size as the images in the following two pages of the Sela demo:
- default — https://selademo.wordpress.com/page-templates/default/
- full width page — https://selademo.wordpress.com/page-templates/full-width-page/
Before they were a bit zoomed in but now they display the whole picture which looks very bad.
All of the featured images I’ve checked on your site look perfectly normal, including the one mentioned above, as well as those on the Gallery, Videos, and Press pages.
Could the recent change in what you are seeing be due to a change in your browser zoom settings? -
Thank you for the quick answer but I dont think that is the problem. I have the same browser settings as always (100 %) and I have checked with both Chrome and Safari on my Mac and the problem with the pictures shows in both.
As you can see in the attached links you posted from the Sela demo page the top picture (under the menu) is “zoomed” in. It doesn’t show the whole picture, it’s cropped. But on my pages the whole picture shows meaning that you have to scroll down quite a bit to actually see the content of the page. This change happened a couple of weeks ago and before that it was all good.
When I look on an ipad or iphone it looks correct but not on the computer…
What could it be?

That’s not what I find, and I’m using a desktop PC. On the four pages on your site that I’ve checked, The Crew, Gallery, Videos, and Press, the featured images are exactly of the same dimensions as the corresponding featured images on pages of the demo linked to above, which is 1180 x 435 pixels (typo error on the width above).
You may add a “modlook” tag to the sidebar of this topic call for staff attention.

@ransailing ah, that is a bit strange. Both Safari and Chrome on my mac look correct.
Have you recently changed any settings on the mac or installed new software that could be affecting your browsing experience?
Also, do you see the same effect here?

It looks good on the link you posted. But now I know that it looks good on everyone else computers. That’s the most important :) It must be something with my Mac, probably some strange setting or software as you say. I will try to find it. Thank you for the help!
