Problems with image scaling for custom header, Plane theme
-
I am creating a custom header for a site using the Plane theme. The image is cropped to the correct dimensions (1000 x 200px) and displays well for tablets and mobile but displays incorrectly when scaling up on desktop. Is there something that I should be doing to resolve this? Is it a known problem with Plane? I have tried different images and the problem persists. Thanks in advance for any help!

Because of the way the Plane theme stretches the background image to fill the entire width on larger screens, it’s better for something like a scenic background, rather than a logo.
If you were to add the Custom Design option from the WordPress store, you could add some CSS code to make that image not stretch, but as is, I would recommend incorporating your logo somewhere other than the header. Then, either don’t use a custom header, or use one which will look fine no matter how it is stretched.

Thank you for your super fast and helpful response! I’ll definitely look into the CSS option.
