Problems with image thumbnails
-
Why are my immages appearing with a symbol layered in the center???
My page at “http://novoyavotar.wordpress.com” has image thumbnails that appear with a symbol in the center of each image, why is this?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

That is the post format. See:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/post-formats/ -
But why is a symbol overposed over my image? It happens in every one of them except my last (first) post. Please refer to my blog to see what I mean.
-
It is superimposed because the theme is designed to display symbols over images in the post formats.

http://untitleddemo.wordpress.com/If you don’t like that then choose another theme.

Ok now i get it..thxs a lot….
So therefore I can assign the category not as “standard” or “video” but as a “link” (As my last post, which has no symbol overlayed and is categorized as a “link) so that no icon is overlayed on top of my image?? Or if I place as a “link” category will it have contrary-effects?
-
Look at the live demo site please and notice each format has a different symbol. http://untitleddemo.wordpress.com/

Yeah now I understand that. Each format has a different symbol, and the “link” format has no symbol superimposed on the picure. Therefore, can I update my articles to a “link” format so they don’t have a symbol superimposed on the picture, or will doing this have a contrary “side-effect” to my posts (like not displaying text, only hyperlinks… etc)

Anyways… it changes my formatting … thanks for all the help… i’m brand new to the site and i’m quickly learning
thanks

I wouldn’t choose a link post format that’s not appropriate for the content simply because it would not have the post format symbol. I would choose another theme.
