Problems with Image Widget

Hi I am working with an image widget. However, whenever I put in the image URL following your guide and uploading image and trying url for image on an external web site. Neither work. When saving the image URL disappears and will not stay in the widget no matter what I try. Please help. Thanks.

Where is that image hosted?
Are you hot linking to an image you do not have the specific authority to use? -

Hello no it is not any kind of hot link. I was trying to do something with a new theme. I gave up and chose another. I am though having a slightly different issue with the McKinley theme. The twitter widget installs over other text in the footer area. I had to take it out because nothing I tried worked. Even rearranging the order still caused the problem. I have found another way to do this, in that I have a twitter button instead below the about me section. This does not however display my tweets, which is a bit of a detraction in the efficacy of the theme. See here footer section: http://meaningmindfulness.wordpress.com/
