Problems with iTheme 2
-
Hi, I’ve made my site private while I make some updates to it. I’ve switched to iTheme 2 and purchased custom design kit so I could change the fonts. I have two problems. 1) The fonts are inconsistent. On the home page, the post headings are in the body font not the heading font. They switch to the heading font when you click into one of the posts. Also the ‘Subscribe via email’ widget for some reason doesn’t show up in the heading font. 2) I had added 8 sticky posts with featured images, which did appear on a scrolling bar across the top. For some reason, when I logged in today, suddenly only 5 appear on the scrolling bar and the other sticky posts appear in the normal post stream – at the top and with their featured images, rather than just in chronological position. I really need to be able to make my site public again in the next couple of days, but don’t want to do that until I know how to resolve these two issues. Any help much appreciated!

I checked http://stephaniededhar.wordpress.com/ and the post headings there are in the Snicker font which is the font you have set for Headings on the Appearance → Custom Design → Fonts page. Also, when I check the home page and the posts pages, the post headings and the widget headings, including “Subscribe via email” are all showing the correct font for me. If you’re still having trouble with the heading fonts, can you please try clearing your browser cache as a first troubleshooting step? If you’re still having trouble after that, could you please upload a screenshot of the problem showing the entire browser window so we can see what you are seeing?
If it’s working normally for you now, then it’s possible it was found and fixed before I got a chance to reply to your first message.

Thanks very much for your reply. I have just looked and the second issue I had with sticky posts/featured images seems to have resolved itself. However I did clear my cache and still am having the same problem with the fonts. Is there a support email address I can send a screenshot to? It is reassuring that you see all the fonts correctly, but I am just a bit concerned that some readers will see the incorrect view I see…

Unfortunately I am now having the same problem with sticky posts/featured images again. When I first visited my blog, it was fine – 8 sticky posts on the carousel at the top. But every time I try to edit an existing post (not a sticky one), when I go back to the site only 5 sticky posts are at the top, the other 3 are in the main blog area. This is really frustrating as I can’t figure out what prompts it to change!

You can post a screenshot to your media library, and I will be able to see it there. A screenshot of the font issue showing the entire browser window would be helpful to me, thank you. :)

I see that too. I found that it’s working in the demo: http://itheme2demo.wordpress.com/ so I need to do a little more testing on your site to see if I can find the difference between the two.

Okay great – I’ve uploaded a screenshot to my media library called BlogFontIssue.
I’ve actually now removed 3 sticky posts, just so it shows the 5 properly at the top. I did this as I am hoping to get my site live again asap, and can’t do it with those sticky posts not displaying properly. If you can do the further testing just with 5, that’s great, but let me know if you need me to make a few more sticky posts again.
Thanks!

There are other bloggers with this same Itheme 2 issue. I have been flagging the threads. I believe this dates back to https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/problem-with-sticky-posts?replies=5 -
