problems with latex

  I’m having trouble getting latex to work consistently. In one post I have three equations I want to display. Two of them get typeset, but one does not even though it is legal latex:

  $latex P(omega|beta)= frac{int dE exp{-i omega E} g(E) exp^{-beta E} }{Z(beta)}$

  Any ideas why this doesn’t work?
