Problems with “Light” theme
-
Hi all,
I was recently changing themes and noticed that when I switched from the “Contempt” to the “Light” theme, the categories/tags of all entries are not showing.
For example on the “Contempt” theme, if I posted something about Bush and tagged the entry under “George Bush” and “government”, the tags would appear at the end of the posting. This does not happen under the “Light” theme.
I know each theme is unique, but is there anyway to have these showing again? Any advantages of showing the tags anyone, or is it better to just not show them?
Thanks.

It’s better to show the tags, I would think. The one good thing about tags not showing up in posts but showing up in the sidebar is that when someone clicks on a tag now they only navigate around your blog, which is a big advantage to you. When someone clicks on a tag in a post, they go to the WordPress tag page, where your post is up against all kinds of others.

The Light theme does not display categories. I just tested this to be sure. However, the Unsleepable theme has a similar appearance and it does display categories.

I tried the “Unsleepable” theme before and while the tags show up, the “about” pages and title description are not visible.
Who else wants to join the “find the perfect theme” game?

Just tried “Andreas09” and I’m sticking to that one for now… it’s a change from “Contempt” and it does not screw up the content. Which you could add tags/categories to every design template though.

Have you tried checking engtech’s blog for his analyses of themes? He’s the only one I know doing comparisons.
