Problems with Media Library and Images viewing on website

    I set up my WordPress site via BlueHosting two days ago and have installed the latest version of WordPress (4.0) using the Genesis Modern Portfolio theme.

    I have added images to the Media Library which are showing up fine (have named them all correctly, correct sizes, RGB etc) but when I select the ‘Add Media’ button and select the image, click ‘insert into page’ nothing happens at all. The same goes for adding an image to the ‘Set feature image’ function.

    I don’t get any error messages or any evidence at all that I even selected anything.

    I’ve also noticed I cannot delete any files from my Media Library.
    I’ve tried de-activating and upgrading all Plugins, and updating Adobe Shockwave to the latest version but none of this has worked.

    Any advice would be great, thanks!
