problems with mixfolio theme

Two things – like button just sits there saying “loading” and never does meaning viewers cannot ‘like’ a post.
Second – why do some posts show with my sidebar and others no sidebar and tabs at the top saying image, info and comments? I don’t like the inconsistency. And sometimes when I click on an image of front page the image opens very small, the next time it is the correct size. Inconsistent and annoying.
I have previewed other themes but because (I assume) Mixfolio requires me to load the image twice – once for the post and again for the featured image so it shows on the front page – other themes then show the image twice.
I am having great trouble finding a suitable, workable free photo theme.
