Problems with ‘new’ blog subscription feature
-
I am having some issues with the new blog subscription feature. I added the widget to my sidebar. It seems to work well as far as visitors using it… but they seem to be unable to activate the service through the provided activation email. Wondering as to the why of this… I tried it myself using one of my different emails. When I clicked on the “click me to confirm this subscription” link… I was taken to a page that stated “Your subscription was not activated”. I had the same result when I copied and pasted the provide link. I am assuming my visitors are having the same issue.
Any suggestions as to how to get this service to work.
Thanks

did this… haven’t heard a word back from them.
Guess I will dump this widget and go with Feedburner. Too bad… I like to stick with what WordPress offers when I am able to.

I want to add the “Blog Subscription Widget” to my blog. I’m trying to find it via the “Install Plugins” page, where I can search for widgets. I’m finding many widgets relating to subscriptions, but nothing matching what’s described here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/blog-subscription-widget/
How can I find that particular widget?
Thanks,

@treeskier, sorry, you are in the wrong forum and need to head over to http://wordpress.ORG/support/ as that is where self-hosted wordpress blogs using the software from wordpress.ORG are supported. The blog subscriptions widget is unique to wordpress.COM.
These forums are for those hosted here on the wordpress.COM free hosting service and things here work differently and our answers typically will not work for you.
If you do not know the difference, see this support document: http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/ .
