Problems with new supposedly purchased domain name and service

I have tried to find references to the domain name and service that I signed up for and money for which was taken from my account 21.08.18 the references on my bank a/c seem to be (redacted). I think that I would prefer to cancel and have my money returned because the domain name I thought I had is still available for any one to purchase.

Unfortunately the email address attached to that account was related to a web site that I had taken down early this year/late last year. I know the email address of course and it was a Microsoft account. What next? Terry
