Problems with Privacy

    I started writing my blog (travelswithkoji.wordpress.com) and made it “private” for the first week while I was writing it. I only made it public today, (Oct. 15). I’m wondering why there were so many hits prior to this date. Yet, when I asked Customer Support for help during this past week when it was private, they said they couldn’t help me because the blog was private. Could you please explain what might have happened? Thanks for your help. Jane

    Volunteers in the forum can’t help with private sites, because we can’t see them. Actual staffers CAN.

    On private blogs, even the views of the blog admin are counted. Those are your own hits you’re seeing. Once the blog is public they are not counted.
