Problems with resetting password

Several days ago received an email, “login credentials were recently discovered in a list of compromised accounts published by security researchers”, asking me to reset my account password (not this account).
I have tried and tried, never have I received an email with the link to reset the password. Tried the recovery account function, same thing. Can you help.

Hi there, what is the address of the site the email mentions, or the username for that account?

I see a few password reset attempts and then see a login for the rico1161 account.

I have tried to reset the password, but never got an email to change it. I haven’t been able to log in for the old password does not work. Sites with the Jetpack plugin active, I can access jetpack stats and settings, but cannot setup jetpack since I don’t have the password.

Can you check the spam filter at the email service provider for the email on the account and make sure the reset emails are not mistakenly getting caught?
I’m seeing a number of emails to the account that are bouncing back to us, and when I check that email address here, https://email-checker.net/, it is coming back with
UNKNOWN The SMTP server is taking too much time to respond.

Thank you very much. I made the change as you suggested, got the email, was able to change the password.
