Problems with Safari 4 Public Beta
-
I just downloaded Apple’s Safari 4 for my iMac. It worked fine, except that when I wrote a post for my blog here and tried to put in a link. The screen turned opaque as it usually does, but then it freezes. I couldn’t put in the link and had to close that tab. My hunch is that when you try to do other things such as putting up videos and images, it will be the same too. Did anybody get the same situation here?
I don’t know whether this is a problem for Apple or for WordPress. Perhaps both?

One thing to keep in mind with beta browsers is that staff has said that they do not do any work on compatibility with browsers until they are officially released to the public in final form (no longer beta).
Based on the level of standards compliance Apple accomplished with Safari 3, and the fact that since its release there has been only one “bug” reported, I expect when 4 hits the streets, it will be solid and require next to no adjustments from wordpress or anyone else.
