Problems with site redirect.
-
Hello. I have recently moved my blog from wordpress to be selfhosted (with bluehost). I think I have transfered the domain properly and the new site seems to be up and running fine.
However if I google one of the topics I have posted about and click on the link to my blog instead of going to the post it goes to a 404 error page. I have tried to purchase a redirect from the wordpress store but it won’t let me purchase it as I apparently already have domain mapping for that host. I’m not sure at what stage I have gone wrong and if this question should be directed at wordpress.com, wordpress.org or bluehost. I have also read that it can take time for the redirect to complete so I’m not sure if I have done something wrong or if this is normal when you first change hosts? The blog I need help with is http://www.simoneelisebeauty.com.
Thanks!

Hi Raincoaster.
I’m not sure exactly which link you wanted but this is the link to the error page that i’m getting:
http://simoneelisebeauty.com/tag/nude-palette/ -
That’s a tag page, not a static page. And the problem appears to be the way you’ve got permalinks on tag pages set up. It’s NOT the same as here. The actual link is http://www.simoneelisebeauty.com/?tag=nude-palette
If you change the way those links are configured to be analogous to your WP.com blog, the redirect will work just fine.

Thanks, I thought it might be a problem with the permalinks.
How do I make them the same as my wordpress.com blog? -
