Problems with spacing after images and paragraphs

    I’ve been posting images and text with no problems at all for a couple of years, but am suddenly having a problem when I preview the post I’m currently drafting.

    I’m trying to get the following:

    TITLE (in bold)
    IMAGE (with no line space between title & image
    MAIN TEXT (with no line space between image & main text)
    <LINE SPACE>
    NEXT TITLE

    and what’s happening instead is that I’m getting line spaces in the 2 places I don’t want them and no line space in the one place I do want one. I’ve tried playing around in both Visual and HTML editor and it’s not working. Oh, and in case you’re wondering, my pics are captioned and set to align center.

    Any ideas?

    That’s because (in the theme you’re using) images are displayed with some margin around them, which is usually good. If the images were plain, you would change their margin; but with captioned images, that will mess the relationship with the caption frame. So you need to counter the image margin by applying negative margins to the text. Write your titles this way:
    `<p style=”margin-bottom:-8px;font-weight:bold;”>TITLE HERE</p>
    And the main text below them this way:
    <p style="margin-top:-8px;">MAIN TEXT HERE</p>
    In the html editor, of course. And of course you can change 8 to a different number.
